SING School has provided thousands of voice lessons, each designed with a focus on vocal technique, enabling students to widen their vocal range, increase vocal strength, develop seamless transitions between registers, attain mixed voice and belt coordination, master diverse musical and vocal styles, sing high notes comfortably, build confidence in live performance, and ultimately achieve technical and artistic proficiency. We offer expert singing instruction across a broad spectrum of musical genres, including Pop, Rock, Musical Theatre, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Soul, and more.
Our experienced voice teachers are committed to the discipline and art of voice teaching, supporting students’ professional and personal growth throughout their vocal journeys. Recognising that every individual has unique needs, we do not employ a uniform technique or method. Instead, our vocal exercises and lessons are carefully tailored to meet the distinct voices, learning styles, and objectives of each student, beginning with your initial session.
Vocal coaching differs from voice lessons by focusing on preparing singers for specific performances, auditions, or recording sessions. Sessions cover performance strategies, stage presence, musical choices, acting, mic technique, and diction. Coaches also help with song selection, arranging, harmonies, building audition books, and adapting technique to various styles. At SING School, our vocal coaches are ready to support your next step in performing.
Learning a musical instrument, such as guitar, offers singers valuable skills in music theory, songwriting, sight-reading, harmonizing, vocal technique, and live accompaniment. At SING School, Adam O’Connor provides personalized guitar lessons for all levels, emphasising individual approaches rather than a single teaching method. Lessons are tailored to each student, encouraging exploration of various guitar styles and fostering an enjoyable, patient learning environment that supports every goal. Training is available for students at all stages, from complete beginners to those seeking advanced techniques and mastery.
By picking up the bass guitar, singers unlock valuable abilities in areas like music theory, songwriting, harmony, sight-reading, vocal technique, and accompaniment. Adam O’Connor at SING School delivers custom lessons for every level of experience, adapting each session to suit individual interests and objectives. Whether just starting out or aiming to perfect complex techniques, students can try new genres in an encouraging atmosphere.
Music theory studies the essential building blocks of music—like notes, scales, chords, rhythm, melody, harmony, and form. SING School teaches these core concepts to help students understand and use them effectively. It provides rules that help musicians create, analyze, and interpret music. Learning these basics, even as a beginner, can greatly enhance your ability to compose and appreciate music. In addition, SING School offers instruction in AMEB syllabus, supporting students who wish to pursue formal examinations or certifications.
Run once a fortnight, our Small Group Guitar Lessons at SING School offer musicians of all backgrounds the chance to strengthen their skills in music theory, songwriting and live accompaniment. Led by Adam O’Connor, these sessions are tailored to each group’s interests and skill levels, focusing on a flexible and supportive approach rather than a fixed method. Participants are encouraged to explore different guitar styles and techniques in a friendly, collaborative setting designed to make learning enjoyable and rewarding. Whether you’re a beginner or working towards mastery, our small group format ensures every student receives guidance and motivation to achieve their personal musical goals.
In our Duo Singing Class, SING School Vocal Coaches help singers at any level improve their skills. Each session includes a group warm-up and solo singing with feedback on technique and performance. With only two students per class, you’ll get personalised guidance in a supportive setting.
Aside from lessons in our SING School studio, we also offer lessons via Teams, FaceTime, or Whatsapp to vocalists anywhere in the world. All you need is a computer with an internal or external microphone, as well as a solid internet connection.
As a singer, choosing your next training step can be tough. If you want feedback on your technique and style, our vocal evaluation service offers an analysis of strengths and areas for growth based on your performance. You’ll get clear advice on improvement and a summary of your current vocal skills, delivered in a supportive way. Vocal evaluations are ideal if you’re not ready for regular lessons, and personalized feedback from the SING School Coaching team can guide your progress.
Creativity and songwriting are disciplines that can be developed through consistent practice and guidance. Private Songwriting Coaching at SING School provides structured support designed to elevate your songwriting abilities.
Our program welcomes songwriters and singer-songwriters of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals. Through focused study and skill-building exercises, participants will acquire a range of songwriting techniques and exercises aimed at enhancing creativity and craftsmanship, learn efficient methods for workshopping and editing compositions, and refine melodies, lyrics, and overall musicianship.
Additionally, participants will cultivate a signature sound by analysing key stylistic and songwriting features of inspirational genres. They will prepare original pieces for live performances or recording sessions, utilising SING School’s in-house audio studio, and build confidence in singing and presenting original material.
At SING School, our piano lessons are specifically designed for beginners and focus on the skills that singers need—these aren’t your run-of-the-mill, traditional piano classes for advanced players. Rather than following a standard curriculum, we prioritise practical skills to help vocalists thrive as musicians. You’ll learn the essential chords and progressions that allow you to quickly accompany yourself, making it easier to practice songs and vocal exercises at home. Every session is tailored to help you use the piano as a tool for vocal development, songwriting, accompaniment, and overall musicianship. Our focus is on building your confidence and versatility as a singer, not just teaching you to play scales. These lessons are ideal if you’re just starting out, offering a fresh, fun approach to help you express your unique voice and reach your musical goals. By mastering basic chords and other essential skills, you’ll be able to support your singing independently, making your home practice more effective and enjoyable.

At SING School, we believe that sharing music is a vital part of every singer’s journey. That’s why we regularly host our signature Sip & Sings—performance events that welcome students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re just starting out or already have experience on stage, these relaxed gatherings offer the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills. From intimate in-house concerts to larger community events, you’ll have the chance to perform solo or with others, helping you build confidence and celebrate your growth. For our more advanced singers seeking a bigger challenge, we also offer Montage—an exclusive performance opportunity where participants can deliver a 30-minute set at a local venue. This is a fantastic way to experience a professional-style gig, refine your stagecraft, and present a cohesive showcase of your original work or favourite covers. Montage gives seasoned performers the platform to stretch their abilities, engage a live audience, and take their musical journey to the next level. Our Sip & Sing programmes are designed to be supportive and inclusive, giving everyone a safe space to put their learning into practice and receive encouragement from coaches and peers. These experiences are a great way to gain practical stage experience and connect with fellow musicians, all while enjoying the thrill and satisfaction of live performance.
Singing lessons for children under 8 years old are provided by Emma – one of SING School’s Vocal Coaches and are designed to introduce youngsters to the joys of music in a playful, nurturing, and supportive environment. At this age, the focus is not on technical mastery but rather on fostering a love for singing, developing musical awareness, and building self-confidence.
Lessons are typically structured to be short, engaging, and varied, lasting 20 minutes to suit young attention spans. Sessions often include warm-ups, simple vocal exercises, singing along to favourite children’s songs, and interactive musical games.
